In this op-ed for New Age, M Mizanur Rahman deals with the helplessness of the disaster affected people in the northern part of Bangladesh. He argues that though there are interventions of different non-government organisations for disaster risk reduction, these cannot address the issue entirely until or unless these are integrated with livelihood programmes and income generating activities.
