Brunei: Call to include disaster risk reduction in school curriculum

"Information plays a critical role, especially early warning. It is important to inform the public of the risks before something happens so they can prepare," said Dr Marqueza Lepana Reyes, technical advisor for disaster risk reduction at the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR).

Dr Lepana Reyes was attending a two-day workshop was attended by some 70 participants from both government and non-government agencies to introduce them to the Hyogo Framework for Action.
