The two-day event, organized by the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC), in collaboration with several related government agencies, incorporated three main aspects in reducing the risks of disaster: the preparation of "Hazard Mapping" and Contingency Plan; listening to the safety steps and fire prevention; and learning the techniques of putting out fires and providing emergency assistance.
The community-based programme was launched by the Director of Fire and Rescue Department, Yahya bin Hj Abd Rahman.
