Afelda Ghani reports on the activities of the National Disaster Management Centre aiming to achieve a safer and disaster resilient community by improving its risk reduction mechanism through the development of the country's Strategic National Action Plan (SNAP) for disaster risk reduction within the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) and the Asean Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER). The activities were reported during a workshop conducted in cooperation with the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) and the Asean Secretariat.
