About

The Global Disaster Preparedness Center (GDPC) is excited to announce its Small Grants Research Program, focused on climate resilience in urban areas. This initiative seeks to advance knowledge on urban climate resilience by funding original research in low- and middle-income countries, aiming to strengthen the evidence base for creating resilient urban environments in response to climate change.

The GDPC provides grants to university researchers working on research projects related to climate resilience within specific urban-focused topics. The program is particularly aimed at supporting scholars with limited access to research funding, with grants available exclusively to researchers from low- and middle-income countries.

Grants of up to $10,000 USD are awarded for research projects lasting up to eight months, with a completion deadline of September 30, 2025. This program encourages applied and impactful research that can inform policy, planning, humanitarian programming, and community action.

Deadline

The deadline for applications is November 12, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.
