In an op-ed on Huffington Post, Nicolas Hulot and Loren Legarda discuss how lessons learned in the Philippines can feed into the global disaster risk reduction agenda, taking a look at the Philippines.

'The learnings of these last ten years must feed into the post-2015 development agenda starting with the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in March in Sendai, Japan, which will adopt an updated version of the Hyogo Framework for Action,' they write, ahead of French President Francois Hollande's visit to the Philippines.

Nicolas Hulot is French President François Hollande's Special Envoy for the Protection of the Planet and Loren Legarda is Chair of the Philippine Senate Committees on Climate Change, Environment and Natural Resources.
