China: Sichuan to move 18,000 households to avoid disasters

Sichuan province will relocate 18,000 rural households over the next three years to avoid further disasters due to natural hazards said Song Guangqi, director of Sichuan Provincial Land and Resources Department yesterday.

According to Mr. Gunagqi, a monitoring network will be set up for 3,695 sites at-risk which also include landslide prone areas.
