According to Sierra Express Media, climate change is said to be responsible for erosion, floods, drought and desertification in in Nigeria. David Stephen asserts that climate change adaptation is essential as it would not only help Nigeria tackle climate change itself, but it would also improve the quality of lives in the country. He also asks ask if Nigeria can cope ‘if’ a legally binding MRV (Measurement, Reporting and Verification) is ratified at the COP17 conference.
