In this S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) commentary for Eurasia Review, Mely Caballero-Anthony and Sofiah Jamil address the state of regional cooperation and the vital need for disaster preparedness in Thailand and Cambodia, which face high socio-economic costs from flood damage. Due to the increasing vulnerability of Southeast Asian countries to weather–related disasters, they consider the need for states to effectively integrate climate change adaptation strategies with disaster preparedness.
