PANA press reports on the launched of the Gambian Women's Environmental Network and the Gambian Youth Environmental Network by the Phoenix Project, a non-profit making organization. The new centre is hoped to deal with issues on mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the country.

"The Gambia is not spared from the impacts. We are already facing serious problems along our coastline, Banjul is projected to sink under by one metre below the sea level," said Aji Bintou Kinteh of the National Environment Agency.
