Chandrababu Naidu has said, according to a report by the Hindu. Capacity building is important for mitigation of natural disasters, as preparedness can reduce both life and property loss, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said.

According to the report, the Chief Minister said that the State had received about Rs. 2,400 cores for relief and capacity building post Hudhud that hit Visakhapatnam city last October. “Out of the total amount received we have earmarked Rs. 240 cores for research on disaster management and capacity building,” he said.

The Union Minister urged the delegates to come out with analysis and solutions for disaster mitigation, management and early warning system for the 100 smart cities in the country.
