India: City unarmed against chemical disasters

A day after a chlorine gas leak at the Mumbai Port Trust, Dr Ravi Sinha, a disaster risk reduction specialist, raises doubts on whether a city with many chemical and pharmaceutical factories and oil refineries is equipped to handle a chemical accident, admitting that equipment was not enough and that the city needs a special force to deal with such emergencies, reports the Hindustan Times.
