Alaska - The ScienceDaily reports that the first climate change-related relocation has forced almost 400 indigenous people to leave their communities in Alaska. Far from there, 800 km away, in Anchorage, the Indigenous Peoples' Global Summit on Climate Change will discuss the issue and draft messages and recommendations to the December UN climate change conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The event takes place in Anchorage, between 20 and 24 of April. The goal is to include indigenous people in any climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy.
