Bishkek - Kyrgyzstan received an offer to be one of 60 countries participating a project on prevention of natural disasters using satellite technology. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the educational and scientific-industrial complex of the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) Asylbek Aidaraliev said during a press conference at Kabar Agency.

"We have received such an offer. 60 countries are already participating in this project. The idea is that through the satellite, hazardous areas of land will be monitored that are at risk of landslides, floods and other natural disasters. The response will be quickly sent to all channels of the countries that have signed the treaty, " he said.

In his opinion, it would be better to spend USD 10,000 to support the project, than millions for recovery from the consequences of disasters.
