Lebanon must address climate change: Environment Minister Khoury

'Harsh and severe climate phenomena occur in Lebanon – for example we can witness either a heavy rain season or a long period of drought, which means we must place high and urgent importance on the issue of managing water in Lebanon,' said Environment Minister Nazem Khoury, reports The Daily Star. Mr Khoury highlighted the need to adapt to the effects of climate change. Details of the Minister's climate plans will be presented at the World climate summit in Doha later this year.
