Maharashtra, India celebrates the International Day for Disaster Reduction

This day was celebrated by District Disaster Management Authority, Auranagabad, Maharashtra (India) by conducting programs for girls at various locations. Girls were actively involved in these programs. IEC Material i.e. Dos and Don'ts Booklet prepared by the district administration was distributed among girls and awareness about various disaster was carried out. Also, T-shits were distributed among girls to mark the 2012 IDDR day. It was followed by an demonstration of the fire equipment by the fire department. These programs were planned and coordinated by Er. Tushar Pradhan (District Disaster Management officer) under the guidance of Shri. Kunal Kumar (Chairman and Collector, District Disaster Management Authority, Aurangabad) and Dr. Bharat Kadam (Resident Deputy Collector).
