Dhangadhi - A school-level disaster risk reduction and quality education programme is set to be launched in Kailali‚ which is prone to flood‚ inundation‚ landslide and soil erosion. Efforts have been made to bring the programme into operation with the objective of making disaster prone areas more secured by enhancing the capacity of schools and communities under the school education programme‚ it was informed at a workshop organised here today. The programme aims to cover 150 schools of 22 Village Development Committees of Kailali and Dhangadhi. It is expected to benefit students‚ teachers and locals. Recent data have revealed that school students and teachers have been mostly affected due to earthquake and fire.
