Nigeria: NEMA seeks involvement of children in disaster management

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the Southeast has canvassed the involvement of children in disaster management, reports the Nation. Zonal NEMA Coordinator Onimode Bandele said the involvement of young people in disaster management would also "guarantee the building of disaster resilient communities in the country," while kicking off the campaign yesterday in Enugu during the 2011 World Disaster Risk Reduction Campaign day.
