Nigeria: The pains of weather forecasting in the country

Daily Trust writes that recently Nigeria has witnessed a lot of havoc occasioned by heavy rains or other weather-related circumstances, yet Nigerians in such locations were not alerted to make preparations.

Director General, Dr. Anthony Anuforom urged the relevant emergency agencies, state governments and the Federal Government to create awareness about possible irregular flooding and erosion in parts of Nigeria, in order to reduce destruction and loss of lives and property.
