Pakistan: 'Disaster risk reduction plan on the cards'

According to The International News, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is working on a Disaster Risk Reduction Plan (DRRP) to prepare a concrete strategy for handling disasters in the future in Pakistan. Meetings and workshops will be held throughout the country till end January for capacity-building of the institutions confronted with flood challenges during the last two years. NDMA convinced the donor agencies on the concept of "Building Back Better" so that the new houses would have the resistance to face any disaster in future.
