Según el diario El Correo, grandes centros poblados serían devastados ante la ocurrencia de un desastre natural y miles de vidas se perderían por el alto nivel de vulnerabilidad en el Perú, sin embargo, ya existe un Plan de Gestión de Riesgo para mitigar el impacto.
