Philippines: Spain backs disaster risk mitigation

Manila Bulletin reports that the Spanish goverment will support climate change mitigation and disaster risk reduction efforts in the Philippines. The Agencia Española de Cooperacion Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) will play a key role in the "Regional Forum on Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)" for the Agusan River Basin Collaborative Workshop on August 23. Senator Loren Legarda will also participate at this event whose main theme will be the establishment of disaster-free and resilient local government units.
