'Reducing disasters is the same today as managing climate risks' says Margareta Wahlström

The Special Representative of UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction says "80% of all disasters, at least, are caused by weather in its different forms and shapes".

In this interview with Donn Bobb, Margareta Wahlström first talks about the progress made so far with the 10-year Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA).

The HFA is a 10-year plan to make the world safer from natural hazards. It was endorsed by the UN General Assembly following the 2005 World Disaster Reduction Conference in Kobe Japan in 2005.
