The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is pleased to announce that the application for the Informal Programme of the eighth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2025) will be opening soon! Be sure to mark your calendars!

The Side Events, Ignite Stage and Innovation Platform will run concurrently with the Official Programme of the GP2025, between 4-6 June 2025:

Side Events

Side Events will provide an opportunity to discuss ideas in Disaster Risk Reduction within the global disaster risk reduction community. It is a great way to raise awareness of Disaster Risk Reduction activities and contribute to knowledge exchange and capacity building.

Applications open from 30 September to 18 October 2024

Ignite Stage

Ignite Stage is a 'Ted Talk' style speech in which the speaker presents a Disaster Risk Reduction related topic, project or initiative. It presents an opportunity to expose ideas and initiatives in disaster risk reduction to the global DRR community, beyond those presented in the main sessions and side events.

Applications open from 4 November to 22 November 2024

Innovation Platform

Innovation Platform is a space to showcase specific innovations in Disaster Risk Reduction in a physical booth, providing an opportunity to bring your successfully implemented idea - whether incremental or revolutionary - to the attention of several thousand GP2025 participants, with the potential to foster new partnerships, knowledge exchange and scale-up.

Innovations will be selected via a competitive process.

Applications open from 4 November to 22 November 2024
