Taiwanese University, AECOM join hands in disaster-prevention research

Focus Taiwan reports that the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) will cooperate with AECOM, an American technical services company in environmental and city development research focusing on disaster prevention. The Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed on Monday, "will contribute not only to the professional training of technical personnel but will also help with preventative measures against natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, floods and landslides," said NCKU President Hwung-hweng Hwung
