Thailand: 'Flood scheme confuses firms'

"We need to speed up construction of the projects as we have a specific time limit for using the loan," Plodprasop Suraswadi, the chairman of the government-appointed Water and Flood Management Commission told firms bidding for the 350 billion baht flood prevention project, in a Bangkok Post report. However, a number of firms expressed concern about the demand to design as well as build the project. In the meanwhile local residents demand to participate in the scheme as well.
