UN chief: Thailand should learn from flood crisis for future prevention

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday advised Thailand to learn from the current flood crisis and transform the lessons into measures for future prevention, reports MCOT. The secretary-general said that the flood crisis in Thailand was an unexpected incident but that Thailand should take the crisis as lesson to help prevent repetition of the disaster. He added that one of the five principles of the United Nations was 'Prevention'.
