UN ready to help Lebanon manage disasters - UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon

Following the collapse of a residential building in Beirut, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon ad interim Robert Watkins stressed the importance of preparedness in disaster management, as reported by NOW Lebanon. "I told PM Mikati that the UN stands ready to share with the Lebanese Government and the Parliamentary Committee for Public Works its expertise in developing efficient disaster reduction and disaster management policies," he said.
