UNDP criticizes Panama for disaster management
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) criticized today some weaknesses of the disaster risk management in Panama, reports Prensa Latina.
Referring to the National Savings Fund, UNDP considered weak the legislation for the use of that money, while again criticized that spenditure is planned for response, not prevention.
According to the newspaper La Estrella de Panama, in 2014, just over the 65 percent of the country was affected by flooding.
