Rising sea levels and the increasing unpredictability of flooding have governments and businesses throughout the world looking to Asheville (USA) for solutions.
Cutting-edge three-dimensional software mapping models developed UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center are helping officials in places such as Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, Florida, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, prepare for too much water.
And global companies like California-based Esri, which also develops mapping software, are taking notice.
