The US$5.47M disaster preparedness projects - including community early warning systems, advocacy and education - funded up by the European Union will enable the most vulnerable populations to reduce the risks associated with extreme natural events such as earthquakes, floods or landslides: "With this new support, the European Union reaffirms its commitment to the populations most vulnerable risks associated with natural phenomena to which the country must constantly deal," said Paul Webber, Charge d'Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti.
