With recurring natural disasters such as cyclones and floods over the years, the state government has decided to make separate provisions for the vulnerable sections during calamities, reports the Times of India.
Speaking at the State Disaster Preparedness Day function under the theme 'Mainstreaming persons with disabilities in disaster risk reduction practices,' revenue minister Surya Narayan Patro said, "Though we could manage to tackle the disasters well, but still we need more preparedness in the coming days. We have to make the preparations more alert to make it a disaster resilient state."
