The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry of Australia has published a new strategy for guiding research on the future effects of climate change on Australian agriculture, reports PS News.
“The strategy highlights the need to consider links between mitigation and adaptation, as better results will be produced from research that includes projects with dual benefits,” said spokeswoman for DAFF’s Climate Change Policy Branch, Julie Gaglia. She added that “the strategy also recognises adaptation and international research collaboration as important areas to be targeted under future funding rounds.”
