Public information and awareness sessions: Join us to take a step forward in Risk Reduction!
The Lisbon Municipal Civil Protection Department commemorated this year the International Day for Disaster Reduction on the week 15-19 October, with a range of school sessions about information and awareness in the educational establishments, designed to prepare the scholar and student population to know how to act in a situation of catastrophe.
Eleven schools in the city of Lisbon hosted those sessions as well as 3 other institutions, mainly for Elderly people, received the visit of Civil Protection technicians, in order to talk about preventive attitudes and behaviors towards natural risks, such as seismic risk, urban fire or flood. They also received educational materials, mainly leaflets about the main risks of the city of Lisbon and how to behave in emergency situation.
