Wildfires report suggests accelerating burn risk for Western US

The 2012 wildfire season might be the worst of the American West ever, according to a report recently published by Climate Central. Rising temperatures and the decrease of winter snow have increased the wildfire risk in the region, and climate change is expected to further worsen the situation in the decades to come.
