ACT (Action on Climate Today) is a five-year initiative that works closely with governments in South Asia to develop strategies to build resilience to the impact of climate change. Funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), ACT works with the aim to help partner governments to integrate climate change into their policies, plan and budgets. ACT is providing technical support to 11 governments that include 5 national governments and 6 sub-national governments

Action on Climate Today, combines the Climate Proofing Growth and Development (CPGD), which works in partnership with the governments of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan and the Climate Change Innovation Programme (CCIP) working in India. ACT initiative has been helping these countries to integrate climate change into policies, plans and budgets. It has also strengthened countries’ capacity to attract and leverage climate change investment
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
