The Australian Emergency Management Committee (AEMC) is a Australian Government - State/Territory body charged with responsibility for managing national strategic emergency management issues and policies. The AEMC has decision making authority and recommending authority to Ministers. The AEMC supports the Augmented Australasian Police Ministers' Council in the achievement of its objectives and ensures a cross-jurisdictional, whole-of-government effort to manage national strategic emergency management issues and policies.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
