Delivering healthcare to vulnerable people, wherever they are
Doctors of the World is a humanitarian organisation working in over 70 countries. We help vulnerable people across the world, from young mothers and their babies in the slums of India to children on the streets of Cairo and victims of natural disasters, like the recent earthquake in Haiti or the flood in Pakistan. Here in the UK we run Project:London where we help some of the community’s most vulnerable, including victims of torture and people fleeing violence, pregnant mothers unable to access antenatal care, and babies in need of basic immunisations.
We advocate tirelessly to make sure that everyone gets the healthcare they need. Because health is a human right.
Highlight the relationship between Climate Change and Health, with a particular focus on Disaster Resilience.
Doctors of the World are currently continuing DRR activities in Madagascar. We are planning a DRR project in Bangladesh.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
