Mission
The Mission of the Florida Municipal Electric Association is to advance the interests of its members through:
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory bodies on issues of concern and representing and advocating municipal utility interests on those issues.
- Facilitating exchange of information, innovation and productivity improvements to increase members’ efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assisting members to prepare for and take advantage of change so that they may better serve their customers.
- Promoting a positive image and enhancing public confidence in municipal electric utilities.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
