International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure

The International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI) identifies and addresses the biggest barriers to action that have prevented us from working together for a sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.
While the engineering-inclusive organizations at the center of the coalition seek to bring the kind of practical, science-based and solutions-oriented perspective that engineers are generally known for, ICSI recognizes that engineering-inclusive organizations alone cannot solve the systemic problems that exist at the intersection of climate change, aging infrastructure, and underinvestment. A multidisciplinary, multi-sector, global coalition is needed to break down the silos that have contributed to our collective failure to adapt and mitigate.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
