MARCO is a project that involves eleven partners from six countries across Europe. Coordinated by the European Climate-KIC, it gathers market research firms, climate scientists, climate services practitioners and innovation actors to provide detailed insight into the climate services market in Europe.
In addition to assessing this market, the project carries out case studies, forecasts future user needs, assesses market growth until 2030, unveils opportunities, raises awareness and connects service providers and users.
Finally, the recommendations made by MARCO to policy-makers may enable the creation of an EU climate services market observatory that will help monitor and evaluate the growth of the market.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
