MASA Group is using artificial intelligence and simulation to reduce the impact of disasters.
MASA Group's artificial intelligent software SYNERGY is reducing the impact of a disaster through validating disaster plans and training senior crisis staff to improve their level of preparedness.
During an actual disaster MASA SYNERGY will allow to test alternative response strategies. The system will calculate the outcome of these alternative response strategies. The crisis team can then pick the best one and execute it.
The Disaster Reduction goal of MASA Group is to contribute to a reduction of impact on lives, infrastructure and goods during a disaster through:
1. having senior crisis staff better prepared;
2. contributing to a more accurate validation of disaster and emergency plans;
3. offering the possibility to test alternative response strategies during the course of action.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
