NPJ Climate Action is an open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research, reviews, and essays targeted at an audience of researchers and diverse stakeholders who are interested in mitigating hazardous effects of the global climate change. It aims at building a bridge from science to action towards scientifically informed policies at local and global level. The journal’s scope covers research from all areas related to global climate change, with a special focus on the mitigation of effects; analyses of existing action plans and climate governance; their feasibility (but also limitations) in the different regions of the world; hypothetical scenarios.
This broad, transdisciplinary journal spans its content from social and physical sciences to economics, combining environmental, socio-economic, and behavioral science. Coverage includes, but is not limited to: energy, air pollution, mitigation & adaptation, agriculture and land use, smart cities, climate engineering, sustainable transition, climate change governance, (inter-) national climate policy, climate legislation, sustainable business and finance, behavioral studies, climate information and education, and coupled human-environment system.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
