The South Africa Netherlands research Programme on Alternatives in Development (SANPAD) has since 1997 been financed by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. SANPAD has facilitated and financed research projects, search capacity building and research support activities over the past ten years. This Programme Document explains how the SANPAD Phase 3 (2008-2013) programme will contribute to the South African National research and development goals and agenda, the goals of the South African Higher Education Sector and the goals of the Royal Netherlands Embassy on research and development.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
