Founded in 2012, SARD is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to building resilience and self-reliance in those affected by conflict and natural disasters while championing the localization of humanitarian assistance. We strive to provide critical resources and innovative opportunities to affected people and communities so they can reach a future in which they can thrive. We work in the sectors of Food Security, Non-Food Items, Shelter, WASH, Protection, and Early Recovery and Livelihood.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
