Achievements and trends in disaster reduction on the African continent: summary of the IDNDR national committee assessments
This report presents the results of the survey on African national committees for the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR), and discusses national achievements and challenges in disaster risk reduction (DRR) on the continent.
The report also presents an institutional and legal framework for DRR in African countries, and outlines future requirements and priority areas of cooperation in disaster risk management.
