Analysis of resilience of communities to disaster (ARC-D) health toolkit: User manual
The Analysis of Resilience of Communities to Disaster in Health (ARC-D Health) Toolkit, based on the original ARC-D toolkit developed by GOAL in 2016, has been specifically designed for use by stakeholders to measure community health resilience, raise community awareness of the potential impact of shocks and stresses on individual and family health, and enhance community motivation in developing and implementing health resilience actions. The toolkit was developed by MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience and the GOAL resilience team. It includes:
- Tools, templates, checklists, and instructions for conducting ARC-D Health assessments
- Materials for training and deploying data collection teams
- Guidance for processing data and reporting on findings
The ARC-D Health toolkit is flexible and adaptable, and can be used in rural, urban, and periurban contexts. It can also be used in both development and emergency situations.
