Anchoring loss and damage in enhanced NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions)

"Anchoring Loss and Damage in Enhanced NDCs” by WWF International and Practical Action provides guidance to national governments and key stakeholders on how to include loss and damage in the NDC enhancement process. By following the 4 simple steps provided, countries can consider ways to incorporate loss and damage associated with climate change impacts in their NDC so that they are more aligned to the goals of the Paris Agreement. Including loss and damage in the NDCs make them more comprehensive, and will therefore describe the key milestones on the pathways necessary for communities and nature to be more resilient to the ever-escalating climate change impacts that cannot be addressed through adaptation alone.
