Australia: National partnership agreement on natural disaster resilience - Western Australia implementation plan 2010/11
This agreement between the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Western Australia addresses risk priorities ranging from tropical cyclones, bushfires, floods, earthquake and tsunami, to climate change-related sea level rise and more intense storms threatening coastal housing and infrastructure by building on existing knowledge and increase understanding of the natural disaster risk profile in Western Australia. It includes a Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP) which aims to promote evidence based risk management approaches engaging business, individuals and the community towards a paradigm of collective response. It defines the context, outcomes, outputs, budget, performance measures, administration arrangements, reporting and evaluation of the plan.
