Building resilience through asset creation
This report explains how asset creation is a key element to building resilience and how Food Assistance for Assets (FFA) programmes can result in immediate gains in food security and simultaneously reduce risks from natural and man-made hazards. It also explains how FFA contributes to natural resources development and management, to the restoration of agriculture potential, to community infrastructure rehabilitation and to the diversification of livelihood strategies, and income generating activities. The report also includes a section of guidelines and relevant tools.
